Perry Police nab Macon assault suspect

arrest ol a Macon atea man who was wanted lor
questioning concerning an aggravated assault
case
Perry Police C'apt Mickey Barfield said Sgt
Brian Childress spotted a car with a missing
headlight and tail light in downtown Perry about

He was arrested and charged with obstruction,

arrested on Macon's warrant ol aggravated
assault and taken to the Bibb County Law
Enforcement Center
According to Detective Phillip Marherry, ol
the Macon Policy. Nolton allegedly shot Cauiau
Smiley in the upper thigh, on Dec 26 Marherry
said that Smiley is recuperating well
Nolton will lace charges ot aggravated assault
in Macon, then will come and lace charges in
Perry lor obstruction, possession ot a firearm by
a convicted lelon ansi giving lake information
According to Bartield. Nolton gave a lake name
to the Perry Police

Police. Nolton was apprehended, said Marherry

The Perry Kiwanis Club
will sponsor its fifth Talent
Showcase Jan. 17 at 7 p.m. at
the Perry High School
Auditorium.
Contestants for the TUent
Showcase will be divided into
three divisions: Class A • 10th
through (2th graders; Class B -
7th through 9th graders; and
Class C - Ist through 6lh
graders. Acts will be grouped
according to the grade of its
oldest member.
Cash prizes will be awarded
in each division: first place.
$100; second place, SSO; and
third place, $25. Trophies will
also be awarded for fist, second
and third place in each divi
sion.
