Local fitness club growing as
members lose unwanted pounds

Body Tec Fitness, located in the downtown
area along Ball Street, is a private fitness club that
has grown in membership numbers and building
size.
According to owner/operator Julie hums, the
club has added new equipment and expects to
obtain more in the near future
Equipment now available lot dub members
use includes treadmills that have individual pro
grams geared toward walking and cardiovascular
exercises, stair climbers, exercise bikes and
weights.
Members are able to take advantage ol this
equipment to cither gel into or stay in shu|x\ said
Evans.

W APPRECIATION Members of the Perry Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary hosted a cookout at Rozar
Pork May 16 for the department as part of Fireman Appreciation Day in Perry. An plaque was presented
to Chief Gary Hamlin recognizing the importance of his department. Perry Mayor Jim Worrall said he has
great appreciation for the local tire department. Worrall also recognized the spouses of freighters and
praised them for the support they give their loved ones. "That helps make our department one of the best
in the stale," said Worrall.
Girl Scouts offer summer camp
Girls can renew old friendship-, and make new. ones this summer at
Girl Scout activities throughout central Georgia Camp Martha
Johnston, a beautiful natural outdoor setting located on Sweetwater
Creek in Crawford County, will otter a variety ot da\ and resident
camping options for girls ages 6-17 Other camps and activities will
be held in Laurens. Houston. Jones and Peach counties.
Scholarships are available and girls need not be a member of a Girl
Scout troop to participate
