recipe we used that I found in my
late mother Elvin Roper’s collec
tion which she credited to her
friend. Lois Robinette.
Fkozen Chocolate Angel
Food
I angel food cake (or 1/2 of a
mix)
I 12-oz. pkg. semi-sweet choco
late morsels
4 eggs, separated
1 /4 cup sugar
2 cups heavy cream, whipped
Cut or tear angel food into tiny
pieces and set aside Melt choco
late over hot, but not boiling
water, stirring until smooth
Remove from heat and stir in
beaten egg yolks. Allow choco
late mixture to cool slightly. Beat
egg whites until stiff but not dry

It is the policy of the HmU » VtmJunM to welcome wedding
and engagement notices as long as they meet the following
requirements, effective May 27, 1998.
V Wedding stories must be submitted to the newspaper
no more than 90 days after the wedding date. Weddings
older than that can be published as paid advertising at the
current advertising rate, $4.65 per column inch.
V All wedding and engagement notices must include a
local tie to Houston County. Weddings or engagements will
not be published with out a direct link to the community.
V All wedding and engage/nent notices must be signed by
both the bride and the groom for publication. Without both
signatures, the notice will not be published.
V Forms for wedding and engagement announcements
are available from the iMrito JlMf-JBntil to assist in preparation
of your announcement. While forms are not necessary, they
are helpful as reminders to include all needed information.

mixture. Fold in whipped cream
Add angel food crumbs and mix
thoroughly. Set paper muffin cups
in 24 cupcake holders. Pour mix
ture to top in each cup Chill or
freeze. Can be eaten soon if
frozen.
The following note said: "This
is one of the best desserts I have
ever eaten It takes awhile to make
(if I’m in a huny I buy the cake),
but you have 24 individual desserts
and they freeze beautifully."
That note convinced me to try
this out on our guests and it held

The sanctuary was decorated
with spnngen fem and ivory
satin bows and kimbcrly queen
ferns in footed brass urns. White
pillar candles were on either side
in memory of Col. and Mrs.
Telfair Long, Mr. and Mrs. Dan
Adkison Sr., Mr. C. H. Horton
and in honor of Mrs. Thelma
Hamson Horton.
Wedding music was provided
by Bertie Ann Hardy, organist;
Arlene Woods, flautist; and Mr
and Mrs. Alan Parker, vocalists
The bride, given in marriage
by her father, wore a silk shan
tung gown with a hand-beaded
bodice flowing into a full skirt
The off-thc-shoulder neckline
and short sleeves were embell
ished with the same beading
The semi-cathedral train was
topped at the waistline with a
butterfly bow
The bride's headpiece was an
English tiara in pearls and
Austrian crystals with a scal
loped veil which draped over the
entire train She carried a cas
cade of casa hlanca lilies.
Eskimo roses, frcesia and petite
calla lilies. Her bouquet was
accented with stcphanotis and
tips of sprcngeri and myrtle
ferns
The maid of honor was Robin
Moody of Atlanta. Bridesmaids
were Claudia Brantley of
Birmingham. Ala . Erica Khan ot
Macon, Jennifer Loftin of
Gainesville. Ida Stone and Loy
Stone both of Covington
They wore floor-length ms
gowns of satin-back crepe with
sweetheart necklines The backs
were latticed with a chiffon train
They earned cascades of astatic
lilies, iris, gerbera daisies,
frcesia. delphinium, and com
flowers in vibrant hewfs of yel
low, periwinkle, orange and
cream Each bouquet was
accented with sprays of oncidi
um orchids and tied with sheer
tangerine orgamza.
The groom chose his father as
his best man Groomsmen were

ments in the wedding colors. A
porcelain bride and groom doll,
made by the groom's mother,
was on the mantel. The wedding
cake was topped with a nosegay
of sweetheart roses, frcesia and
other flowers.
The couple arc residing in
Macon.
The groom's parents hosted
the rehearsal dinner at The Depot
in Covington.
