With everything from sour
cream poundcakes to antique
sewing machines on the auction
block, bidding got lively and
almost everyone took home some
bargains.
The Wellivers both completed
a ten-day course in auction
school in St. Joseph Missouri last
November, and also made top
scores in the Georgia auctioneer’s
test.
The well-attended event was
kicked off with a few words from
County Commission Chairman J.
Sherrill Stafford, who praised
Tammy and Bob Welliver for
their innovation, and said that
they were “making more history”
for historic Elko.
The auctions will be held on
the first Saturday of each month,
and household items are accepted
on consignment.
