November 3, 1998, in conjunction with the
1998 General Election, pursuant to Ga.
Laws 1998, p 259 (Act No. 665). The

husband, Keith, moved to Perry
six years ago. attend Rehoboth
Baptist Church and traveled to
Russia a year ago to adopt their
21-month-old son, Andrew. They
were even the subject of a special
article on these pages by Emily
Johnstone last Mothers Day. They
have their Lawson Drive home
for sale now to move to an older
home they plan to restore in
downtown Elko.
Keith works for Southeast
Recycling Technologies recycling

and has been active until recently
in the Exchange Club. Jane is in

Betty Ramsdale gave a review of
“Message in a Bottle" his second
novel after "The Notebook” by
Nicholas Sparks and on the NY
Times Best Seller List for 10 weeks.
Betty told just enough to pique the
interest to read it. You know she
sells it at Perry Bookstore!
The remainder of the meeting
was spent just visitin’ about
books being read, trips being
taken and recipes being cooked.
Claire had tried and liked Sweet
Rosemary Slices from Home and
Garden section of The Macon
Telegraph. Says it's a little like
biscotti. I meant to try it with
fresh rosemary from my herb
garden and now Claire’s inspired
me to. Here ‘tis for you, too.
Sweet Rosemary Slices
2 eggs
2/3 cup brown sugar
Dash of vanilla
I cup plain (lour
1 teaspoon baking powder
Pinch of salt
2 teaspoons dried rosemary (I
fresh)
1/2 cup chopped raisins
1 cup chopped nuts
Powdered sugar
Beat together eggs with brown
sugar and a dash of vanilla. Mix
together plain flour, baking pow
der and a pinch of salt. Stir into
egg/sugar mixture Fold in dried
rosemary (1 tablespoon fresh),
chopped raisins and chopped
nuts. Spread evenly into an oiled,
floured 8-inch pan and bake 30
minutes ai 375 degrees. When
cool, cut into slices and dust with
powdered sugar.
