Obituaries
Emmette Willis Cater
Funeral services for Emmellc
Willis Cater, 73, were held at
First Baptist Church of Perry on
Oct. 23. Burial was in the
Evergreen Cemetery. The Rev.
Dr. Randy Kennedy officiated.
Mr. Cater died on Oct. 20 at
the Perry Hospital. He was the
son of the late Dr. Robert L.
Cater Jr. and Louise Willis Cater,
and was a World War II Air Force
veteran.
He was a retired bookkeeper, a
former Perry City Councilman
and a former member of the
Perry Kiwanis Club, in addition
to being a member of the Masons
and the National Rifle
Association.
He was a member of First
Baptist Church where he was
past president of the Barnabas
Sunday School Class.
Survivors include his wife.
Sara Ruth Jones Cater of Perry,
his daughter, Marilyn Cater
Morris of Lilburn, and two
granddaughters, Karyn Cater and
Amanda Cater, both of Lilburn.
Watson-Hunt Funeral Home
was in charge of arrangements.
Paul H. Lewis
Services for Paul H. Lewis
were held at 2 p.m„ Sunday, Oct.
25, in Christ’s Sanctified Holy
Church in Perry. Burial was in
the church cemetery.
Lewis. 94. died on Oct. 21 in
Charleston. S.C. Born in
Virginia, he was the retired
owner of Paul H. Lewis & Sons
Construction Cos. He was the
widower of Grace Smith Lewis
and a member of Christ’s
Sanctified Holy Church.
Survivors include his children,
Paul E. Lewis and Roland Lewis
of North Charleston, S.C.;
Beverly Legitte *f Hanahan,
S.C., and Ruth G. Hawkins of
Winston-Salem, N.C.; sister. Dot
Murphy of Perry and brother, the
Rev. Ray Smith of Hanahan, S.C.

Perry were
held on Oct.
23 at St.
Patrick's
Catholic
Church, with
a private bur
ial following.
Mishra,
who died on
Oct. 21 at the
age of 56. was

B.K. Mishra
a native of India, and had lived in
Perry since 1971. He was a grad
uate of Banaras Hindu
University, Fort Valley State
College and Georgia College. A
civil engineer, researcher and
nurse, he was employed at the
Medical Center of Central
Georgia and was on the faculty at
Georgia College.
Survivors include his wife,
Margaret Martini Mishra of
Perrv his sons. Benjamin K.
Mishra of Perry, Rajesh K
Mishra and Rakesh K. Mishra.
both of Cincinnati, Ohio; two
daughters. Shashi Kala Pathak of
India and Shashi Prabna Mishra
of Cincinnati, his mother and
three sisters of India, and two
grandchildren.

William Richard Jr.
Funeral services for William
“Bill" Richard Jr., formerly of
Perry, will be were held on Oct.
20 at St. Peter Claver Church in
Macon. He died on Sunday, Oct.
18. 1998. He was a graduate of
Mount dc Sales Academy and
attended the University of
Georgia.
Survivors include his father,
William Richard of Macon;
mother, Christine Richard of
Macon, and sister and brother.
Susan Richard of Atlanta and
Thomas Richard of Macon.
Hart’s Mortuary was in charge
of arrangements.
