Everywhere I looked there
were ladies from Perry at the third
annual Middle Georgia Luncheon
featuring Letitia Baldrige Nov. 9
at the Robins Air Force Base
Officers Club. She gave entertain
ing and glowing accounts of her
days as Chief of Staff to
Jacqueline Kennedy. White
House social secretary during the
Kennedy Administration, advisor
to four White House First Ladies,
and service to U.S. Ambassadors
in Paris and Rome.
She is America’s leading
expert on manners and etiquette,
author, columnist and contribut
ing editor.
Perry’s Janice Walker serves on
the planning committee for this
annual luncheon that increases in
attendance each year. It was the
original idea of Perry 's adopted
Coleen Nunn and it benefits the
Museum of Aviation. Janice’s
committee selected two recipes to
be served. Poulet Chasseur and
Couronne dc Riz Clamart. from
“In the Kennedy Style” by Ms.
Baldnge: and the book was offered
for sale and signing by the author.
I had the pleasure of lunching
with Miriam Musick, Stephanie
Olsen, Faith Stewart, and Linda
Easterly of Perry Hospital; and
Linda, who is Director of
Nursing, probably enjoyed the
speaker’s tales of experiences
with the Kcnnedys as much as
anyone there.
The former Air Force Captain
and Goldie Hawn look-a-like
served as Chief of Protocol at
Robins during the 80s and appro
priately handled all details of
menu, seating, and photos for mil
itary affairs.
Janice’s planning committee
also chose Judy Goddards
Shrimp Cocktail Soup for our
first course. The wile ot the pre

shared her delicious recipe with
