cat,” or "eat, watch football and play basketball."
Some families get outdoors together to play bas
ketball or even go hunting. One mentions “four
wheeler riding, deer hunting and playing football."
That’s what they like doing

In a recent survey of 55 stu
dents at Perry Middle School we
found that the top food of the hol
idays is Turkey with 38 percent of
the students listing the meat as
their favorite. A total of 16 percent
listed dressing as a favorite. As for
the traditional Cranberry Sauce
only 4 percent listed it as their
favorite.
The Sweet Potatoes, which are
usually made into a souffle, came
in with 4 percent. As for the
Broccoli Casserole. 2 percent list

Others just had some creative suggestions to
improve the day:
“Have ham for dinner.”
"Eat peanut butter for lunch.”
"Go out of town or on a trip to the mountains, go
to a homeless shelter and provide a Thanksgiving
meal for them. Get the family together and decorate
each other’s houses."
“Have a cookout. Have a bonfire."
And finally, one student in the survey couldn't
think of a single improvement, and wrote a single
line:
“Nothing. What we do now is what I like to do."

Now as a twist to some of the
“traditional" food for the
Thanksgiving the students were
asked if they would rather have
pizza or spaghetti for dinner.
Some 59 percent of the kids want
Rodeo Cowboys Association and
features specialty acts plus cow
boys and cowgirls competing in
six events: saddle bronc riding,
bareback riding, calf roping,
steer wrestling, bull riding, and
barrel racing.

last with 22 percent of the votes

are required for the Rodeo.
