There Is a ranch at Leon springs, Texas, owned l>y
Baron von Baub, where special attention Is paid to
the rearing of Shetland and spotted pon'ea. There
are eight thousand acres In the ranch, and the ponies

They are very gentle and can be caught uny where
on the range.

a slow process. Much depends upon the dexterity
of the packer. In a contest In Michigan, two pack
ers packed respectively 5,915 and 6,910 shingles per
hour for ten hours. A great deal depends upon the
packer.

lemon trees attain In Florida ?” T. 8. R., Fayette
ville, Tonn. Answkr—The largest we know of Is a
Sicily lemon on Lake Newnan, Fla., budded seven
teen years ago on a sour orange six feet from the
ground. The stump measures in circumference Hve
feet seven Inches at the ground, and three feet two
and a halt Inches Just below the buds. The top
measures forty-two feet Its diameter. It lias borne
12,000 lemons In one season.
