Many of the grants
funded include cancer
awareness and screening
methods, as well as various
resource programs to help
detect certain cancers at
early stages, when treatment
is more likely to be success
ful.
Local communities in
the South Atlantic Division
hold a variety of events each
year, such as Relay For Life,
Making Strides Against
Breast Cancer, golf tourna
ments and galas, which pro
vide volunteers and commu
nities the opportunity to per
sonally be part of the fight
against cancer.
The funds raised as a
result of these events support
the American Cancer
Society's mission, including
the vital work done by the
organizations receiving
funds through the Targeted
Community Investment
Grant program.
Each community and
each event impacts the
Society's mission.
Without the dedication
of our local communities and
the successful fundraising
events they perform, the
Society could not support
local organizations that con
tinue to provide valuable
programs and services in the
fight against cancer.
The American Cancer
Society is the nationwide
community-based voluntary
health organization dedicat
ed to eliminating cancer as a
major health problem by pre
venting cancer, saving lives
and diminishing suffering
from cancer through
research, education, advoca
cy and service.

God is calling us to
unity. He is calling us to
lay down our disagree

Time IS Now!!! The
Unsaved are secretly thirst

real life illustrations and
answers not technical theo

with the lost, we must mean
what we say and live it!
Then they can see Jesus in

Give them a God who

the sweet by and by, but in
the nasty here and now!

When it comes to poli

everyone has an opinion
about who is good or bad.
However, in the midst
of this seemingly unending
chaos is a gentleman who is a
true servant of the people.
Representative Bob Bryant.
Representative Bryant
serves in House District 160,

Delta Sigma Theta Sorority,
Inc.- Savannah Alumnae
Chapter) who had the occa
