munity Church was privileged to host a Savannah State Uni
versity worship service during the 11am worship hour with
SSU’s president, Dr. Cheryl Davenport Dozier giving the key
note address. Dr. Dozier conveyed the necessity of utilizing
our gifts with excellence. She asked, “Do you take you gifts
and invest them?” and referring to the adage, “If you don’t use
them, you lose them.” Dr. Dozier also illustrated how our in
ner gifting can serve as a catalyst for creating new businesses
and ideas that can help those in need. Dr. Dozier reflected on
the visionary leadership of Richard R. Wright, Savannah State
University’s founding president, which brought SSU to its
current stature and prominence boasting a premier CSI major,
a homeland security and emergency management degree, and
a restored Teacher Education program.
Temple of Glory also received greetings from Savan
