questions. This is a hard news station and daily story ideas
and contribution to the daily function of the Newsroom is
a must. Candidates must have experience in producing,
editing, shooting and writing. Must be a team player. This
is not an entry level position.

seeking a qualified Anchor/Producer to fill an immediate
position. This is not an entry level position; experience is
required. Strong verbal and written communication skills are
a must with working knowledge of the role of a producer in
the Newsroom. Anchor/Producer will be responsible for an
choring and producing newscasts as well as General Assign
ment Reporting. Qualified candidate must be a hard work
ing Newsroom leader who has the ability to multi-task in a
deadline based atmosphere. Qualified candidate needs to be
flexible with shifts and open to cross training possibilities. 3-

New Vision Television Savannah, LLC (WJCL-ABC/
WTGS-FOX - Savannah, Georgia/Hilton Head, South
Carolina) has an opening for an Assignment Editor. The
Assignment Editor is responsible for supervising and coor
dinating the news gathering process, researching, verifying
and bringing breaking stories to air. Strong knowledge of
city agencies and newsmakers required.
Duties will include but are not limited to:
Developing stories, having proven news judgment as well
as being able to coordinate interviews and logistics for field
crews.
Dispatching reporters and photographers in the field.
Directing and coordinating efforts to get stories on the air.
Assisting reporters with researching, developing, and set
ting up their stories.
Assisting writers, producers and web editor with gathering
information and updating stories.
Arranging and supervising video feeds.
Scheduling remote trucks for live news stories or inter
views.
Participating in editorial meetings to inform those gathered
of events being covered.
Experience and Requirements:
• Must be an effective communicator, self-motivated and
well organized.
• Must possess good personal interaction skills.
• Must possess good leadership skills.
• Must have excellent verbal and written communication
skills.
• Must be creative and assertive.
• Must be able to work well under breaking news pressure
and meet daily deadlines.
Must have strong organizational and motivational skills.
Must be flexible, willing to work evenings, weekends and
over time.
• Degree in Communications or Journalism preferred.
• Two years newsroom experience preferred.
• Knowledge of the Savannah market preferred.
