The Trouble This Week
The readers of this paper very naturally
feel like asuitig the question : What is the
with The Journal? The paper
was three days behind on the last issue,
■and it came near being no paper this time,
The fact-is, an accident to cue of the
which a lot of fresh matter was
knocked into pie, occurred as the paper
was going to press. The press, too, had
some of its parts so badly worn that the
work could hrrdly te done.
This week the Journal force, which con
of one good printer etc., had to move
his household effects.to other quarters, the
press had to be repaired and-the whole
was overhauled. Repairing eould
not have been ; }>ut off longer.
A full and uew&y paper may be expect¬
ed next week, and it is not likely that any¬
more mishaps, like-those mentioned above,
will occur in a long time.
In this connection it is not out of place
state that the paper has done altogeher
much business as was expected, It is
more business than many that are
and larger, and the future pfo’thistfs
increasing patronage.
