Hickory Mrove Happenings.
We aro going to build a narrow gu.rge
railraod from Macon to Birmingham Ala.
Notwilhstanding the distance is considera¬
ble. There are three or four capitalist in
Crawford county who can raise the “scads”
to build it and it is going to be built.
Crops are all gathered. Cotton short,
corn poor, potatoes pea3 and sorghum good.
Mr J. V. Walker lost his fine horse,
Myers, the other night. He was worth
$400--one of the best horses in this coun¬
ty. It is nerd on a poor man to meet witli
such disasters.
Dr J N Smith has put so much meat
meal and syrup in his smoke-house till it
gave way on the back side.
MONEY! MONEY 11 MONEY!!
Parties desiring to borrow money can
get it from me on easier terms and at a
lower rate than it has ever been offered in
Crawford county. If you wish to borrow
any, come and see for yourself,
Respectfully, O. P. Weight.
NOTICE.

-well to employ J. E, Spillers.

Gentleman- -Five years ago one of the
best physicians in Evansville , Ind., was
treating me for a bad case of blood poison.
I did not improve to please mm or myself
either and was on the poiut of changing
physicians, when I was offered a place in
Chattanooga. In telling my physician
goodbye, I asked him about your medicine.
He hesitated a minute, and then suggested
that I try it. Immediately on reaching
Chattanooga I purchased three bottles of
Dr L. H. Wilson, druggist. I began to
improve at once and in six months there
was not one of the hundred sores left on
my body. I took a dozen or two more
bottles, and to-day am as healthy as ever.
I am ready to answer all inquires and sub¬
stantiate this statement to any who may
address me at Chattanooga Tenn.
