Dr. George Sawyer visited Macon this
week.
Messrs. H. D. McCrary and A. J. Dan
ielly visited Culloden a day or two ago.
. 0. P. Wright, Esq., spent several days
this’ week in Macon.
Miss Lucy Wright has returned from
Barnesville to spend some time here with
her brother, 0. P. Wright.
Mr. Walter Clark and lady passed
through town Tuesday en route for Forsyth,
\trhese they will spend Xmas.
Rev. W. L. Carter has returned Knox
Ville to serve the Methodist church here
another year. William Hays will be the
presiding elder for this district.
W. H. Dent is preparing to add half a
dozen large rooms to his house for the pur¬
pose of turning the dwelling into a hotel
Dr. Blalock, of Thomaston, visited our

Colonel Walter Blasingame struck a
gireak of luk in securing the agency for
the Uhion Central Life Insurance Co, and
he also struck his talent when he entered
the Insurance business. He is having mar¬
velous success too, as the most prominent
citizens can testify.

Mr ,T. F. Jenkins was thunderstruck
the other morning while making his toilet
to find neatly ensconced in the bosom of
his pantaloons, a young family of mice
which cried out befdre he sat down. He
did not faint.
A fashionable young man of this place,
who clerks iu a store, was grumbling the
other day because he could find no one to

store where the young man had drop¬

H, Smisson and Miss Luda Culpepper at
the home of Mr. W. H. Barron, near the
line between Crawford and Honston.
On the 19th inst., at the residence of the
bride’s uncle, Mr S. W. Hatcher, Miss A
raelia Collier of this county to Mr Joe Col¬
lier of Haivkinsville Ga. After a short
visit to relatives in the vicinity, Mr. and
Mrs Collier departed to spknd the holida
in Vienna Ga,, followed by many earnest
wishes for the future happiness of the gal¬
lant groom and the beautiful bride.
