Mr. W. A. Deitrick made a flying
trip to Macon Sunday.
The Methodist Sunday school of
this place have changed their hour
for meeting from the afternoon to the!
forenoon the change taking place thei
first Sunday in April.
The Central of Georgia Railway Co.
is building more side track at this
place. Part of this track is to be used
for loading lumber and other things
and part of it is to be used by the
W. A. Jones & Co. cotton warehouse.
The railroad company’ has agreed to
let the town use all the strip of land
in front of the stores on the south
side of the railroad to be used as a
street which will add much to the I
looks and convenience of the town.
The Macon boys came down Satu.-:
day and crossed bats with the boys j
here, -which resulted in 12 to 0 ini
favor of Macon. A lively and inter
esting game was played. Our boys
are talking of going to Macon in
May to pay back, their visit.
We understand the boys from Big
Sandy are expected to play here Sat-;
urday.
