road construction or resurfacing,
1,215 meters of curb and gutter, 643
meters of sidewalk, 677 meters of 375
mm, 450 mm and 600 mm storm drain
pipe, 5 catch basins, 1,834 linear feet
of 6-inch water main with appurte
nances and 862 linear feet of B-inch
sanitary sewer with appurtenances
will be received by the City of Perry,
Georgia, at the office of the City
Manager, located at 1211 Washington
Street, Perry, Georgia, 31069, until 2
p.m. local time. May 19, 1999, and
then at said office publicly opened and
read aloud.
The project will be financed by
funds from the Georgia Department of
Community Affairs under the
Community Development Block Gram
program and from the Georgia
Department of Transportation.
No proposal wilt be considered
unless it is accompanied by satisfacto
ry evidence that the Bidder holds
Georgia State Contractor's License of
proper classification and in full force
and effect, in compliance with Act
O.C.G.A. 43-14.
Bidders must make positive efforts
to use small and minority owned busi
nesses.
Bidders must comply with 41 CFR
60-4, in regard to affirmative action,- to
insure equal opportunity to females
and minorities and will apply the
timetables and goals set forth in 41
CFR 60-4
Bidders must comply with the
President's Executive Order No.
11246, as amended, prohibiting dis
crimination in employment regarding
race, creed, color, sex or national ori
gin; Title VI of the CivH Rights Acts of
1964; the Davis-Bacon Act, the Anti-
Kickback Act, and the Contract Work
Hours Standards Act.
The Owner may waive any formali
ties or minor defects or reject any and
all bids. Any bid may be withdrawn
prior to the above scheduled time for
opening of Bids or authorized post
ponement thereof. Any Bid received
after the time and date specified shall
not be considered. No Bidder may
withdraw a Bid within 60 days after the
actual date of the opening thereof.
Should there be reasons why the con
tract cannot be awarded within the
specified period, the time may be
extended by mutual agreement
between the Owner and the Bidder.

given by Frederick J. Royal and
Laverne Royal to Tucker Federal
Savings and Loan Association, dated
October 30, 1992, recorded in Deed
Book 992, Page 754, Houston County,
Georgia Records, as last transferred
to Chase Manhattan Mortgage
Corporation by assignment to be
recorded in the Office of the Clerk of
the Superior Court of Houston County,
Georgia, conveying the after
described property to secure a Note in
the original principal amount of
Seventy Nine Thousand Four Hundred
Eighty One & No/100 Dollars
($79,481.00), with interest thereon as
set forth therein, there will be sold at
public outcry to the highest bidder for
cash before the courthouse door of
Houston County, Georgia, within the
legal hours of sale on the first Tuesday
in June, 1999, the following described
property:
All that tract or parcel of land situ
ate, lying and being in Land Lot 170 of
the Fifth Land District of Houston
County, Georgia, being known and
designated as Lot 18, Block “A",
Section No. 2, Russell Glen
Subdivision, a copy of which is ot
record in Plat Book 41, Page 19,
Clerk’s Office, Houston Superior
Court.
Said plat and the recorded copy
thereof are incorporated herein by ref
erence thereto for all purposes.
The debt secured by said Security
Deed has been and is hereby
declared due because of, among
other possible events of default, failure
to pay the indebtedness as and when
due and in the manner provided in the
Note and Security Deed. The debt
remaining in default, this sale will be
made for the purpose of paying the
same and all expenses of this sale, as
provided in the Security Deed and by
law, including attorney's fees (notice of
intent to collect attorney’s fees having
been given).
Said property will be sold subject
to any outstanding ad valorem taxes
(including taxes which are a lien, but
not yet due and payable), any matters
which might be disclosed by an accu

Juvenile matters This broad category
can include notices such as adoption, custody,
juvenile court actions, and temporary custody.

run for from two to four times, depending on the

These notices are usually run when someone,
generally a financial institution, has not received
payment on a loan. Property which secures the
loan is being foreclosed on so the lender can
take it to sell or otherwise pay off the loan. A sim
ilar category is a tax sale, where the county or a
city is seHinci the property to collect unpaid prop
erty taxes. These notices typically run the four
Wednesdays prior to the first Tuesday of the
month when the sales are held at the Houston
County Courthouse in Perry. The fee for these
notices is $lO per 100 words per insertion.
