Nebraskans pay visit to old school friend Kopie O’Neal By JOAN DORSETT Hottt Jouiwal Staff Kopie O’Neal played hostess to 12 of her Freemont, Neb., school chums recently for a week. They joined O'Neal and fellow classmate Pat Anthon of Warner Robins from California, New Mexico. Texas and Nebraska. This annual affair began last spring at a resort at Horseshoe Bay, Texas and will continue next spring at Las Cruces, N. M. The first Saturday in Georgia, the Nebraskans lunched at the Whistle Stop Cafe where everybody ate fried green tomatoes, and dined at the Robins Air Force Base Officers Club. The also attended O’Neal's son Bill’s Jettison Blue party at Lake Tobesofkee. Sunday they got an early start and attended Jimmy Carter’s Sunday School les son at Plains. Then it was lunch at the Windsor Hotel in Americus, Andersonville Cemetery and Massee Lane Gardens with dinner at Tallys in Marshallville. Monday was a leisurely day of shopping in down town Perry. Tuesday the visitors spent in Atlanta with lunch at the Swan Coach House. Tully Smith House. Pat Anthon hosted a lun cheon at her Warner Robins home when they toured the Museum of Aviation. Another day they visited the home and gar dens of O’Neal's neighbor Claire Beckham and to see the doll house replica of neighbor Jane Beckham’s home and her antebellum home. O’Neal reports her friends really liked Perry and its people. They even enjoyed our newspaper and took along with them copies of the April 14 issue with the news that Valmont Irrigation of Valley, Nebraska’s Valley & President’s Circle of Success was awarded to Garland Mears Irrigation Co., Inc. in Unadilla.
