Herman Askew
Herman Askew of Perry
died Nov. 1, 1999.
Services were held at 2
p.m. N0v..6, in the sanctu
ary of the Green Grove Bap
tist Church. Burial was in
the church cemetery.
Mr. Askew was born in
Houston County and edu
cated in Houston County
Schools. He was a member
of Green Grove Baptist
Church, and was employed
by Tolleson Lumber Co.
Survivors include his
wife, Mary Askew of Perry;
six sons. Herman Askew Jr..
David Askew, Leon Askew,
Morris Askew, Douglas
Askew and Emory Askew,
all of Perry; three daughters.

of groceries dependent on
the size of the family.

with only one toy drive
since that will mean the
fairest distribution county
wide. “We plan to compare
our data with the Salva
tion Army and any dupli
cations will be removed
from our listing," a PAL
spokesman said.

church cemetery. The Rev.
Herston Ware will officiate.
Born in Talladega, Ala.,
Mrs. Koler had lived here

stepson, J.W. Dempsey of
Evans; a sister, Grace
Coker Perkins and a broth
er, James Coker, both of
Watumpka, Ala.; four
grandchildren and six
great -grandchildren.

Mrs. Wearing had lived in
Houston County for 11
years. She was a retired
restaurant manager, and
had moved here from
Frankford, Delaware.
