“They look like they
play pretty defense even
though they’ve struggled a
little bit on offense,”
Demon head football coach
Robby Pruitt said.
Preparations are a bit
easier this week because
most of the team can par

After compiling injuries
early in the season and
then suffering from a

Demons are finally getting
healthier.
Jonesboro hasn’t accom

he’s awaiting Jonesboro’s

from its 2003 slumber.
State picks Dodson as top professional
Local Warner Robins Recreation Department

James Dodson has a
strange way of relaxing
after a hard day at the
office.
He volunteers and

Yep ... crazy.
If people didn’t know any
better, they’d think it was
2002 all over again.
But it isn’t. And it isn’t
going to be, said Conley.
“We’re a win away,” he said.
“If we can beat someone
nobody thinks we’re supposed
to beat (and he speaks it as
prophecy), I think the psy
chology of it all will take over.
“I think that’s where we’re
at.
“I am just so proud of these
kids and the effort and the
plays they continue to make,”
he added. “They have done so
well. I don’t want it to sound
like I’m whining or crying but
if for only one play or two,
we’d be 4-0 (versus 1-3).”

The Demons’ offense huddles up during practice at the high school Monday. The
team will host Jonesboro Thursday.
“They throw the ball
and keep you off balance,”
Pruitt said. “They can all

get better at tackling in
the open field.”
He also said he sees

Why is that strange?
Because, after seeing
and dealing with children
all day long, you would
think he would tire of it.
You see, Dodson is also the
director for the center.

OK, so I just had the
best weekend of
my still young life.
My now fiancee was visiting

just in time for a family get

That’s right, the occasion
of a family get together in
the Gordon household is
such a rarity that I believe it
disrupted the Earth’s rota

the planets to line up and
the impossible to happen.
What’s better is that I got
to share the moment with
my family, who have been
there with me during the
years of toil and hardship
only a diehard Cubs fan
would understand.
Red Sox fans are unable
