Aircraft to block
247 traffic today
WARNER ROBINS -
The Museum of Aviation
will welcome home one of
its fighter jets, the
Convair F-106A, after a
10-month restoration
period at Robins Air
Force Base, this morning.
The all-weather inter
ceptor aircraft will travel
from the Arrow Club
located at the intersection
of Green Street and Ga.
247 at 9:30 a.m. The air
craft will head south on
Ga. 247 and travel up the
on-ramp toward Robins
Air Force Base Gate 14
and enter the side gate of
the museum. The aircraft
is expected to arrive at
the Museum’s west gate
at approximately 10 a.m.
People who ordinarily
travel along Ga. 247 at
that time should avoid
the road due to the trans
portation of the aircraft.
People wishing to view
the aircraft are encour
aged to do so at the
Museum of Aviation after
it arrives.
