PERRY - Mackenzie Leigh
Persinger, 11, died Saturday, May 28,
2005, from injuries sustained in an
automobile accident. Funeral services
will be 1 p.m. Thursday, June 2, 2005,
at First Baptist Church of Perry, with
interment following at Perry
Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be
from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, June 1,
2005, at Watson-Hunt Funeral Home.
Mackenzie was a student at Perry
Middle where she was .a mem
ber of Perry Middle School Band, The
Chess Club, The Honors Program, Middle Georgia 4-H
Horse Club and Houston County 4-H Club. She enjoyed
fishing and loved animals.
Survivors include her mother, Kathy Persinger of Perry;
her father, Guido Persinger of Bonaire; a sister, Madeline
Persinger of Perry; her grandmother, Susan Arzt of Perry;
several aunts, uncles, cousins, friends; and her pets, Dolly,
Apache, Billy, Daisy, Ginger, Johnson, Frisky, Sassy, Benji,
Snickers and the Sea Monkeys, too.
The family requests in lieu of flowers, donations to Heart
Beats and Hoof Beats c/o CB&T Bank, 916 Main St., Perry,

MACON - Janie Boney,
15, Kathleen, was killed in a
single car rollover wreck
Sunday along Interstate 475
in Macon.
She was one of 35 killed
over the Memorial Day
weekend. According to the
Georgia State Patrol, the
78-hour period from 6 p.m.
May 27 through midnight
May 30 resulted in 2,726
crashes, 830 injuries and 35
deaths on Georgia roads.
The driver of the vehicle,
Michael Yingling, 16, Fort
Valley, and two other teens,
Erin Wallace, 15, Fort
Valley, and James
Centerfitti, 17,
Andersonville, and Boney
were all out of the vehicle, a
1989 Ford Bronco 11, when

Davis said the vehicle “went
off the traveling lane into
the emergency lane, hit the
emergency strip where the
driver over corrected or
steered sharply back into
the lane of travel and the
Bronco II got sideways and
rolled several times.”
Boney died from “massive
head trauma, according to
the Bibb County coroner,”
Davis said.
