The camp will target three
levels of wrestling: Neutral,
top and bottom.

to mark the beginning of con
struction of the clubhouse,

ARCA RE/MAX driver Rrannen scores lop 10 at Midiigaii

Walt Brannen picked up his first
top 10 in the ARCA RE/MAX Series
and he did it the hard way.
Brannen finished 10th in the
Hantz Group 200 Friday.
If that wasn’t impressive enough,
there was the fact he did it by over

Orchard Hills Golf Club
in Newnan in Sectional
qualifying for the 2005
U.S. Amateur Public
Links Championship.
Conducted by the
Georgia State Golf
Association, the 36-hole
qualifier is one of 72 sec
tional qualifying sites
being held across the
country, June 8-26.
There are 87 players
vying for two spots into
the championship field of
144 players.
Stay tuned to the HHJ

Orchard Hills will be
set to play to 7,012 yards
at a par 72.

Club in Lebanon, Ohio,
July 11-16. Entries were
open to amateur golfers,
who, since Jan. 1, have
been bona fide public
course players and have
a USGA Handicap not
exceeding 8.4. The U.S.
Amateur Public Links is
one of 13 national champi
onships conducted annu
ally by the United States
Golf Association.
GSGA conducts 18
statewide competitions
for men and women of all
age groups, three inter
state matches and 17
USGA qualifying events
each year.

long junior sectional com

the two-mile track about two weeks
ago. They were seventh on the speed
charts during that time - out of 25
drivers - but, according to a story
posted on the ARCA RE/MAX Web
site, weren’t happy with the car.

“We built a brand new car pretty
much,” he is quoted as saying in an
article by 51 Sports author Jeremy
Troiano. “It was a Yates car, but we
redid it from the ground up. Even
since we tested, we rebuilt the car
again from the crossmembers up.”
During that time, the team, owned
by Brack Maggard Racing, also lost
its crew chief and it’s car chief.
Robbie Benton took over duties for
the first and Brannen assumed the
second.

was still the International
City Long Course meet at
Robins
Air Force
Base this
week
end.
“I want
to go out
with a
bang,”
Sundry
said prior
to the
event.
“This is my last meet,
and I’m looking to finish
on a high note.”
But Sundry also had
other motivations. Her
room was up for grabs.
Sundry has been accept
ed to the University of
Georgia’s Freshman
College Summer
Experience and leaves for
Athens soon.
“It’s to get freshmen
used to the campus before
the other 35.000 (other)
students show up,”
Sundry said. And, “My
sister wants my room.”
Both Reva and her sis
ter Rachel swim the 200
backstroke and a mere
12 hundreds of a second
separate them. That’s all
that separates Reva from
her room.
That said, the bet was
on during the meet.
