CURTIS I, MCNEAL JR.
MADISON, Ala. - Curtis I. McNeal Jr. 56, died July 9,
2005. Visitation will be held from 10 until 11 a.m. Thursday,
July 14, 2005, at Shirley Hills Baptist Church on Corder
Road in Warner Robins. Funeral services will follow. Burial
will follow in Magnolia Park Mausoleum. The Rev. Andy
Cook will be officiating the services. The family suggests
memorials be made to donor’s choice.
McNeal was born in Jacksonville, Fla., the first son of
Curtis and Mary McNeal, on June 7, 1949. Curtis graduat
ed from Dougherty High School in Albany. He attended and
graduated Georgia Tech as an aerospace engineer. He was
an active alumnus at Georgia Tech. He was employed by
NASA’s Marshall Space Flight Center at Redstone Arsenal,
Huntsville, Ala., where he was Technical Assistant for Solid
and Hybrid Propulsion Systems. He attended Hope Church
in Madison, Ala.
Survivors include his wife, Melisa McNeal and sons Adam
McNeal and Nicholas McNeal of Madison, Ala.; parents,
Curtis and Mary McNeal of Warner Robins; sister, Barbara
Rouse (Joe) of Warner Robins; brothers, Robert McNeal
and Donald McNeal (Jana) of Warner Robins; nieces, Jana
Smith and Melissa Archer of Warner Robins; nephew,
Bobby Archer of Warner Robins.

RUTH ELIZABETH MYERS
WARNER ROBINS - Ruth Elizabeth Myers, 84, died
Saturday, July 9, 2005. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m.
Wednesday (TODAY) in the chapel of Heritage Memorial
Funeral Home. Visitation was from 7 until 9 p.m. Tuesday
at the funeral home. Burial will be in Magnolia Park
Cemetery.
Myers, a native of Toccoa, was the wife of the late Richard
Carlton Myers. She was a member of the Northside Baptist
Church and a homemaker. She was a devoted wife, mother,
grandmother and great grandmother.
Survivors include daughter, Janet Sue (Richard) Rollen of
Warner Robins; son, James L. Myers and his life partner
Jim Wilcox, both of Douglasville; sisters, Ruby Collier of
Toccoa and Betty Ward of Toccoa; grandchildren, Tammy
(Ricardo) Vazquez, Michelle (Kenneth) Youngblood Danielle
(Brandon) Knacck, Brian Rollen, eight great-grandchildren.
Heritage Memorial Funeral Home is in charge of arrange
ments.
ROBERT KYLE SPRATLING
WARNER ROBINS - Robert Kyle Spratling,
66, passed away Saturday, July 9, 2005.
Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m.
Thursday in Magnolia Park Cemetery in
Warner Robins. Visitation was from 7 until 9
p.m. Wednesday at Heritage Memorial Funeral Home.
Spratling, a native of Carroll County, was the son of the
late Kyle and Ruby Hurst Spratling. He was a retired mail
carrier with the U.S. Post Office after 34 years of service
and a veteran of the U.S. Navy. He was a member of the
Sandy Valley Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Charlotte V Spratling of
Warner Robins; daughter, Susan Brumley of Hawkinsville;
son, Jon Kyle Spratling of Colorado Springs, Colo.; sisters,
Ruth Dennard of Cochran, Pat Chester of Dunnellon, Fla.;
grandchildren, Jamie Marie Brumley of Hawkinsville and
Abigail Spratling of Colorado.
Contributions may be made to Hospice of Houston
County, 130 Westridge Drive, Warner Robins, GA 31088, in
memory of Mr. Spratling.
Heritage Memorial Funeral Home is in charge of
arrangements.
GLORIA Y. WALKER
LOCUST GROVE - Gloria Y. Walker, 58, of Locust Grove,
died Saturday, July 9, 2005. She was born in Americus,
daughter to the late George and Mary Ballard Yeomans.
She is survived by her husband, Robert J. Walker of
Locust Grove; son, Shawn C. Walker of McDonough; daugh
ter, Sheri Swartz of New Jersey; brothers, Ricky (Sharon)
Yeomans of Centerville, Eddie (Sherry) Yeomans of
Centerville; mother, Mary (Ballard) Yeomans; grandchil
dren, Stephanie Cook, Dylan Hudson Jacob Swartz-Walker,
Kenzie Walker and Garrett Walker. Also surviving are sev
eral nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her
son, Donnie Cook.
Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, July 12,
2005, at The Chapel of Cannon Cleveland Funeral
Directors, with Pastor Steve Waldron officiating. Interment
will follow at Locust Grove Cemetery. The family received
friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, July 11, 2005, at the
Funeral Home.
