Brummitt graduates from hasic

Class Brady A. Wilson Brummitt
has graduated from basic military
training at Lackland Air Force Base,
San Antonio, Texas.
During the six weeks of training,
the Brummitt studied the Air Force
mission, organization, and military
customs and courtesies; performed
drill and ceremony marches, and
received physical training, rifle

Perry Hospital and
Houston Medical Center
celebrated National
Hospital Week, May 8-13.
In appreciation, each
hospital employee was
presented with a gift and
treated to ice cream and
Chick-fil-A biscuits and
marksmanship, field training exer
cises and special training in human
relations.
In addition, those who complete
basic training earn credits toward
an associate degree through the
Community College of the Air
Force.
He is the son of Katrin Brummitt
of Sandbed Road, Kathleen and
a 2004 graduate of Perry High
School.
Welcome to the lodge
is designed to help young
drivers learn to improve
their skills on the road.
The organization has
launched a new Web site
designed to help young
drivers improve their skills
behind the wheel while
offering an opportunity to
win terrific prizes.
The site, www.driving
skillsforlife.com, has a
registration feature that
provides visitors with user
names and passwords.

Women of Centerville
United Methodist Church
are selling tickets for a
tour of six local gardens
ending with lunch at the
church social hall located
at 600 Houston Lake Road
in Centerville on June 3.
The tour of the gardens
will run from 9 a.m. until
noon with a salad lunch
from 11:30 a.m. until 1:30
p.m.
Tickets for the Garden
Tour may only be pur
chased at the gardens on
the day of the tour for $lO
per person. Lunch and gar
den tour tickets are sls
per person and lunch only
is $5.
The deadline to purchase
tickets for tour and lunch
or lunch only is Thursday.
