Perry High, after the
action in the Crossroads
Invitational ended Friday at
the Panther Pit, was still
struggling to find a summer
win on the baseball field.
After dropping a 6-2 deci
sion to Crisp County, the
Panthers went down to the
Macon Mavericks traveling
team 8-5.

NORTHSIDEI3, BOMBSQUAD 2
Northside’s Eagles took
on a traveling team made up
of players from Dublin and
Laurnes County Saturday at
the Demon Diamond. It was
Northside who did the bomb
ing on the Bombsquad with a
nine-run second inning that
ended this afternoon contest
in four innings.
Eagle winning pitcher
Chance Kitchens scattered
three hits in four innings.
Both runs for the Bombsquad
came in the bottom of the
second on two hits and an
error.
Northside had a 10-0 cush
ion at the time.
Daniel Sandoval at third
base started a Northside
double play in the third
frame.
The Eagles drew two walks,
and McGee had the only hit
when his team scored once
in the first inning. The bases
were loaded with two outs
when the Bombsquad cen
terfielder robbed Joe Scott of
a hit with a running catch.
Nothing would be taken
away from Northside in the
second inning.
With one out, the Eagles
put six straight batters on
base to go up 6-0.
Around two walks and
two wild pitches, Kinsler
and Sandoval each drove in
a run, Barnard singled in
two runs and Gifford hit a
double that drew a run-scor
ing throwing error.
With two outs, McGee and
Hamm each singled in one
while Scott tripled in two.
McArthur and Holliday
each earned an RBI on hits

on base - including hits by
Evan Jones and Brandon
Black - but couldn’t produce
any scoring.
Josh Thigpen and Tommy
Turner had back-to-back
Perry hits in the top of the
fourth, but they were left
stranded. Macon didn’t get
any hits in the home half,
but scored two runs on a
in a three-run fourth for
Northside.
WARNER ROBINS WHITE WINS 2
Warner Robins High’s
second summer base
ball team (White) had two
wins on the home field on
Saturday. After pulling out
an 11-8 win against the
Bombsquad, Warner Robins
White crushed the Macon
Mavericks traveling team
15-2 in five innings.
Shortstop Jesse Scott had
three hits in the win against
the Bombsquad.
He followed that up with
a four RBI game against the
Mavericks. Three of those
runs came on a home run in
the fourth inning.
