Impact: Overall, he hit .390.
He had 30 hits, of which one
was a home run and triple and
six were doubles. He also had
15 RBI and scored 27 runs. He
had a slugging percentage of
.532 and an on base percentage
of .456.
His fielding percentage was
.947.
Brad Jackson
School: Houston County
Position: Center field/pitcher
Impact: Overall, he hit .468.
He had 36 hits, of which two
were home runs, one was a
triple and 10 were doubles. He
also had 29 RBI and scored 29
runs. He had a slugging per
centage of .701 and an on base
percentage of .578.
He posted a 4-1 record from
the hill. He struck out 14, walked
five and had an ERA of 4.44. He
gave up 22 hits and 14 runs.
Chris Snipes
School: Warner Robins
Year: Senior
Position: Pitcher/first base
Impact: "Although he is very
quiet," said head coach Bill
Beatty, “Chris was our leader on
the field. He was our 'go-to' guy
and wanted the ball or wanted to
be at the plate when the game
was on the line. He also led our
team in just about every offen
sive and defensive statistic.”
Overall, he hit .529. He had
36 hits, of which 10 were home
runs. He also had 32 RBI and
scored 32 runs. He had an on
base percentage of .640 and a
fielding percentage of .991 (one
error in 117 chances).
On the mound, he finished
with seven wins and an earned
run average of 2.31. He had 83
strikeouts.
Other: Signed a letter of intent
td play baseball with Middle
Georgia, was the team's Most
Valuable Player and a Gold
Glove award winner.
Coach's Corner: “Chris was
our team leader and one of the
main reasons we had such a
good season. He has the work
•thic and the competitive spirit to
compete at the next level. If he
continues to work in the weight
room and keeps the attitude
that he has about improving his
game, Chris will excel in college
and maybe even further. The sky
is the limit for Chris."
Matt Summers
School: Warner Robins
Year: Senior
Position: First/third base
Impact: “Matt is a great defen
sive player," said Beatty. “He has
always played first base but we
made the decision to play him
some at third. That really shored
up our infield defense and turned
us around as a team."
Overall, he hit .288. He had 17
hits and scored 17 runs. He had
an OBP of .391 and a fielding
percentage of .937.
Other: He signed a letter of
intent with Andrew College, was
a Gold Glove Award winner and

Mary Riley of Perry was
unable to crack the overall
Top 10 but an 85 and 86 and
two-day total of 168 enabled
her to finish 11th in the
Championship Flight.
Patricia Smith of Bonaire,
contending from the Second
Flight carded a 105, 100,
respectively and finished
11th also.
Sissi Gann of Kathleen was
seventh in the Third Flight.
He carded an 85 on day one
and a 95 on day two.
Lori Soles and Fran Coody
each contended in the
Fourth Flight. Coody, who
was tied for the lead in that
division after the first day,
fell to seventh in the end.
She carded an 89 and 103,
respectively, while the win
ner of that division, Louise
a scholar athlete.
Coach's Corner: ‘Matt is a
blue-collar player, and one every
coach dreams of getting the
opportunity to coach. But even
better than that, he is a good
person and a great student-ath
lete. Matt has the work ethic,
character, and attitude that will
help him excel as he continues
his baseball career at Andrew
College."

Year: Senior
Position: Second base
Impact: “Jeremy worked real
ly hard during the off-season to
improve offensively and defen
sively," Beatty said. “He was
solid defensively and ended up
second on the team in hits and
batting average.
Overall, he hit .400. He had 28
hits, of which long was a home
run. He had 12 RBI and scored
15 runs. He had an on base per
centage of .432.
Other: He was recognized
as the team's Most Improved
Player.
Coach's Corner: "Jeremy had
a solid year. He became a guy
we could count on at the plate to
get clutch hits and set the table
for our big RBI guys."
Seth Reber
School: Perry
Year: Senior
Position: Outfield/pitcher
Impact: Overall, he hit .391.
He had seven doubles, one
home run and 27 RBI. He posted
a 9-2 record from the hill and
added a save to that. He had
six complete games, and in 64
innings pitched, he struck out 51
and walked only 17.
“Seth was our most consistent
player all year," said head coach
Shawn Masters, “at the plate
and in the field.
Other: He was awarded the
team's MVP award.
Coach's corner: “Seth has
a very strong work ethic that
the younger kids see and try to
emulate."
Josh Stewart
School: Perry
Year: Senior
Position: Outfield/pitcher
Impact: He posted a 5-5
record from the hill. He pitched
two complete games and in 55
innings pitched, he struck out 83
and walked 43.
“Josh defeated Mary Persons
for his two complete games tal
lying 28 strikeouts in those two
games alone," Masters said.
“Josh is a leader by example
and his confidence in his playing
abilities is contagious."
Philip Rte.
School: Perry
Year: Senior
Position: Shortstop
Impact: Overall, he hit .388.
He had seven doubles, four
home runs and 27 RBI, while
scoring 33 runs.
“Philip was our vocal leader on
the field as the shortstop should
be," Masters said. “He simply
ran the show.”
Coach’s corner: “Philip
always taught the younger kids
how we play on the infield by
getting them in the right spot to
make certain plays."
Josh O ’ Neel
School: Westfield
Beaudoin of Alpharetta shot
a 94 and 92.
Soles, however, rallied -
with a 91 and 97 - to finish
second.
Ban, who won the
Georgia Women’s Match
Play Championship earlier
this year, approached the
seventh hole with a five
stroke lead on second-place
Medders and was playing
at a two-under clip. Ban
carded bogey on seven and
double-bogey on the par-3
number eight. Medders also
placed a bogey on her card
at number seven but was the
recipient of a three-stroke
swing after recording birdie
at eight. Ban would rebound
with a birdie on nine to card
a 36 for her front side and
carry a four-shot advantage
to the inward nine.
After the duo each scored
par at 10, Medders would
close to within two shots
of Ban by dropping birdie
putts on 11 and 12. Ban,

Impact: Overall, he hit .444
(team leader). He had two home
runs, 17 RBI and scored 24
runs (team leader). He also had
21 stolen bases (team leader).
Fielding-wise, he made two
errors the entire season, said
head coach Billy Sellers.
‘Josh was a steady performer
throughout senior season," said
Sellers.
Other: Signed a letter of intent
to play for Mercer.

Position: Catcher
Impact: Overall, he hit .419.
He had 18 hits. He also had
10 RBI and scored 10 runs. He
had a slugging percentage of
.419 and an on base percentage
of .490. His fielding percentage
was .982.
Jordan Beatty
School: Warner Robins
Year: Junior
Position: Outfield
Impact: “Jordan was one of
our team leaders," Beatty said.
“He was one of our top scorers
(second), run producers and hit
ters (third in both categories).
“He seemed to always be on
base or at the plate when good
things were happening. He was
our best defensive outfielder."
Overall, he hit .333. He had
24 hits, of which two were home
runs. He also had 17 RBI and
scored 22 runs. He had an on
base percentage of .442 and a
fielding percentage of .900 (two
errors).
Other: Represented Team
Georgia in the King Kamehameha
Classic in Honolulu (June 13-20).
He was also a Gold Glove award
winner and a Scholar Athlete.
Coach’s Corner: "Jordan has
been a stalwart in our outfield for
2 years. He has a strong, accu
rate arm and makes plays. He
is continuously working on his
game in his goal to play at the
next level. He will be our leader
next year and is one that most
of our young kids in the program
already look up to.”
Joseph Herrmann
School: Warner Robins
Year: Sophomore
Position: Pitcher/third base
man
Impact: "Joseph is a young
talented player," said Beatty. “He
gained a lot of confidence on the
mound this year as he threw in
some really big games. He will
be our 'go-to' guy next year on
the mound. He came on strong
offensively at the end of the
season and finished second in
RBIs."
Overall, he hit .317. He had
19 hits, of which two were home
runs. He also had 17 RBI and
scored 14 runs. He had an on
base percentage of .373. On the
mound, he had four wins and a
2.86 ERA. He had 60 strikeouts.
Other: Given the team’s
Pitcher Award.
Coach’s Corner: "Joseph is a
fierce competitor, and continues
to work year-round on his game.
He continues to work on his
strength and speed which will
make him an even better player.
He has a promising career in
baseball.’

ing positions in the field.
The field was divided into
five flights (Championship
and first through fourth) by
handicap index.

Position: Outfield
Impact: “We moved Matt to
center field this year which real
ly bolstered our outfield play,"
Beatty said. “He is fast, has no
fear and gets to just about every
thing. He also has a strong arm.
He was second on the team in
home runs and hit two of them in
the playoff series against Henry
County.”
Overall, he hit .304. He had 24
hits, of which three were home
runs. He also had 14 RBI and
scored 17 runs. He had an on
base percentage of .389.
Other: Represented Team
Georgia in the King Kamehameha
Classic in Honolulu (June 13-20)
and was given the team's Hustle
Award.
Coach's Corner: “Matt gives
you everything he has both offen
sively and defensively. I look for
him to be one of our top hitters
and run producers next year. His
continued work on the field and
the weight room will help him
achieve his goal of playing at the
next level."
Blake Lee
School: Warner Robins
Year: Junior
Position: Shortstop
Impact: “Blake was new to
Warner Robins High School this
year," said Beatty, “and stepped
in and filled a big vacancy at
shortstop for us. He was the
vocal leader of our defense. He
had a solid year both defensively
and at the plate."
Overall, he hit .290. He had
20 hits, of which two were home
runs. He had 8 RBI and scored
17 runs. He had an on base
percentage of .417 and a fielding
percentage of .914.
Other: He was given the
team’s Mr. Consistency Award.
Coach's Corner: “Blake will
be one of the leader's for our
team next year. He stepped in
this year new, yet was a perfect
fit for our team. I look for Blake
to have a big year next year as
he pursues his goal of playing at
the next level.”

that affected his hitting early but
came on strong at the end and

through some adversity with his
injury, but still had a solid season
at the plate. We look for him to

Kevin Gifford

Year: Freshman
Position: Shortstop
Impact: Overall, he hit .500
with four doubles and 21 RBI.
“He struck out just four times,”
said head coach Kevin Kinsler.
He also scored 23 runs. He
had a .662 slugging percentage
and hit .556 (15 hits) with run
ners in scoring position.

Impact: Overall, he hit .404.
He had four home runs and 25
RBI. He posted a 5-3 record
from the hill with 46 strikeouts
in 36 innings pitched. His ERA
was 2.11.
“Tony ended up being our
No. 1 pitcher after injury to Jeff
Barfield," Sellers said. “He has
been a starting pitcher since his
eighth grade year.
“(He) is a steady defensive
outfielder (and) in his three loss
es, he had a 1.04 ERA and it
wasn’t his fault that we couldn't
support him offensively."
Jarrod Taylor
School: Westfield
Year: Freshman
Position: Catcher/pitcher/

Impact: Overall, he hit .344.
He had 14 RBI. From the hill,
he had a 1.91 ERA in 11 innings
pitched. He struck out 14.
“Jarrod doesn't have flashy
stats but his defensive work has
been outstanding behind the
plate," Sellers said.
“He has been a two-year
starter at catcher and as a third
baseman.
"In actuality, he ended up
being our field leader and I do
imagine that will be the case for
the next three years.”
