Moulder selected to attend
national leadership summit

Macy. Moulder, a stu
dent at Feagin Mill Middle
School, will join a select
group of students represent
ing their schools, communi
ties and states as People to
People student leaders.
Moulder has been accept
ed into People to People
Leadership Summit in the
Washington, D.C. on July
6-15.
All students accepted into
a People to People program
must, according to a release
from the organization, meet
rigorous academic and lead
ership requirements.
Moulder was nominated
and accepted for the honor
based on outstanding scho
lastic merit, civic involve
ment and leadership poten
tial.
The People to People
Future Leaders Summit on
law, medicine, leadership,
theater and the arts and
international diplomacy
bring together outstand
ing student leaders from
around the globe to focus on
leadership, team, building,
community service, college
admissions and professional

Theatre’s will present its
first production of the sea
son, “The Contrite Spirit”
a comedy/drama by Denis
J. Harrington, directed by
Cathy Collins, with the
opening performance July
7 at 8 p.m. A green room
reception will follow the
performance.
Further play dates will
be July 8, 13-15, 20-22’at 8
p.m. with matinee perfor
mances at 3:30 p.m. on July
9 and 16.
The play is set in an old
house near Virginia’s Bull
Run battlefield believed
to be haunted. Kerry
Kirkpatrick, a laid-back
comic-book artist, doesn’t
believe in ghosts, and the
sale price is right.
He becomes a true believ

develop skills to help them
lead tomorrow’s world, and
build their college resumes,
while earning academic or
service-learning credit.
Participants also gain
insights to guide their edu
cational and professional
careers, and benefit from

4579, are open each Monday
through Saturday from 10
am to 5 p.m. beginning July
3, and continuing for the
run of the show.
Tickets are sl2 adults,
seniors $8 (Sundays only),
a strong focus on college
admissions.
Through workshops, pre
sentations, excursions and
discussions, student leaders
attain a clear advantage as
they pursue and fine-tune
their selected fields of inter
est.
Students will have the
opportunity to meet with
admissions officers and gain
valuable advice for navigat
ing the college application
process. In some locations,
students will be able to tour
several area universities.
The 2006 People to People
Future Leaders summits
will convene at Columbia
University, Georgetown,
John Hopkins University,
UCLA and Stanford.
The program is coordi
nated by People to People
Ambassador Programs to
fulfill the vision President
Dwight D. Eisenhower had
for fostering world citi
zenship when he founded
People to People during his
presidency in 1956.
