Holiday Connection donations taken
Donations are now being taken for the 2008 Barrow County
Holiday Connection program.
Holiday Connection is a volunteer-based, county-wide
clearinghouse that provides holiday assistance to help over
150 Barrow County families each year.
Community members are being asked to help by donating
new toys for children ages 0-18 or making financial dona
tions. All proceeds go directly towards gifts.
“You can also volunteer your time,’’ organizers state.
“Big or small, every little bit can make a big difference to a
child.”
For more information, call 770-868-4258 and leave a mes
sage.
Checks can be made payable to Barrow County Family
Connections/CIS, P.O. Box 278, Winder, GA 30680.
Anyone with items to donate is asked to call 770-868-4258
and let organizers know where to pick the items up. The mis
sion of Barrow County Family Connection is to encourage a
memorable and festive holiday season for families by provid
ing gifts for all children in need throughout Barrow County in
a more coordinated way assuring services are not duplicated
and resources are used evenly throughout the community.
