fish fry will be held Saturday from
noon to 2 p.m. at the Georgia
National Fairgrounds and Agricenter

1/1/ (Commercial Parody at this year’s Fan Film Awards.
▼ * Sponsored by Macon Clones, the Middle Georgia Star
Ware Fan Club, Grammer entered in the short film category in
the fifth annual awards in San Diego.
Thiswas also his second time entering the contest - he was a
finalist in 2005 with “Speeder,” a film that went to the Cannes
Film Festival in France. Grammer’s 2006 production, entitled
“Blije Milk,* is a spoof of the Welch’s Grape Juice commercial.
His 5-year-old daughter, Corinne, plays the lead role in the film as

Runoff for state posts coming up
Advance voting begins at two locations

Aug. 8, is the runoff' election day for
primary nomination* for a number of state
posts.
Under Georgia elections law, a runoff is
forced when no candidate in a race gets
over 50 percent of the vote. The top two
vote getters then face each other.
Runoff races on the Democratic ballot
are:
■ Jim Martin and Greg Hecht for
Lieutenant Governor. The winner will face
Republican Casey Cagle in November
■ Gail Buckner and Darryl Hicks for
Secretary of State.

Secretary of State
■ Gary Black and Brian Kemp for
Agriculture Commissioner.
The winner will face Democratic incum
bent Tommy frwin.

in Warner Robins, 8:30 a.m.- 4:30 p.m.
through Friday; County Board of Elections,
Houston County Government Building, 8
a.m.-5 p.m. through Friday.
There will be no advance voting on
Monday.
