Auqustsiirvivalkit:
It may be too hot to cook, but it's never too hot to
start up the blender, or make a creative mix of dairy
and fresh fruit. The shakes here are special to Journal
readers from "Cottage Living" magazine, and we've
added some creative ideas for yogurt and fruit. You
can try these, or come up with some ideas of your
own.
Or maybe you'll come up with some memories.
How long has it been since you've made floats with lime
sherbet and neady-frozen ginger ale, or just topped vanilla
ice cream with barely thawed frozen strawberries (the ones
with the sweetened syrup)?
Cool, sweet comfort

Special to the Journal
Whether you prefer orange dreamsicle or classic chocolate, you’ll love these simple sum
mer shakes
With her own sweet tooth as a guide, Angela Sellers of the test kitchens at “Cottage
Living” magazine developed these recipes with juicy summer berries and peaches, dark

Once you get the idea, the next step is use your favorite ice cream and get creative by
adding anything from fruit to cookies to nuts.
