CDRRECTION
An article that ran in Friday’s
Houston Daily Journal regard
ing Classworks in the school system
made it sound as if Classworks had
just been implemented in the schools
when in fact the program has been
in place since 2004. The article was
intended as “background” information
only. We apologize for the confusion
we created.

Also, in further clarification of the
picture that ran in Friday’s Journal
entitled “At a glance.” According to
Capt. Heath Dykes of the Perry Police
Department, it was a traffic stop for
loud music in the Kroger parking in
which three illegal immigrants were
detained. The driver, Dykes said, was
cited for loud music, no license, no
insurance and taken to jail, while the
other two were later cited for being
here illegally and released.
The $25,000 in cash, marijuana
and smoking device mentioned in the
picture caption actually related to a
case taking place earlier, Dykes said.
