Monthly evaluations include
blood pressure, weight and

at Houston Health Pavilion
EduCare Center. Incentive
awards will be given after
completing 100 miles, 500
miles, 1000 miles and up to
2000 miles. Quarterly free
dinners for all walking par
ticipants and guests. Cost is
S3O and includes free pedom

■ CERAMIC CLASSES
- Time to get started on all
those handmade Christmas
gifts. The Warner Robins
Recreation Department has
ceramic classes available.
Classes for pre-teen ages 8-12
on either Thursday or Friday
afternoon, teanagers ages
13-16 on Tuesday afternoons
and adult sessions available
days and on Monday evening.

■ Aug., 1956 - Georgia Junior Chamber of Commer
makes Perry state headquarters
The Georgia Junior Chamber of Commerce voted to make
Perry its state headquarters, accepting the proposal of the
Perry Jaycees to provide a building basically without cost.
The 900-square foot building was located on city property
on Carroll Street just in front of Evergreen Cemetery.
The proposal won over bids from Marietta, Albany and
Milledgeville.
The board voted 74-34 to approve the Perry proposal.

- Exercise class featur
ing strength and flexibility
stretching led by a certified
instructor held on Mondays
at 10 a.m., Wednesdays at
9:30 a.m. and Fridays at
10 a.m. at Rozar Park. On
Mondays only, line dancing
is offered from 1-2 p.m. On
Wednesdays only, PVO Bingo
immediately follows exercise.
On Fridays only, a healthy
lunch, costing $5 and a guest
speaker targeting senior
adults’ mental, spiritual, and
physical health is provided
after exercise. Must have a
physician’s referral form to
