Losing a football game is
one thing, but losing two
key starters after only two
weeks gone in the season is
another.
Fortunately for Warner
Robins fans, while the sight
of a 28-7 loss on Friday to
rival Northside was all too
real, the conditions of two
Demon players looked much
worse than they turned out
to be.

George Walton throws no-hitter at Westfield
By MA TTHEW BROWN

Westfield’s softball Hornets traveled
a lot of miles Monday only to ride the
same distance back to Perry without
a hit in the scorebook. George Walton
defeated Westfield in Monroe 5-0 in a
non-region contest with seven hits to
none for the Hornets.
“We did not play well at all,” said
coach Rodney Culverhouse. “We had

Johnson said Kingsprained
his ankle late in the first
half Saturday, and his sta
tus for Friday is uncertain.
King spent Monday’s prac
tice time in therapy, and the
coach said he doesn’t expect
him to miss more than one
game if any.
Cuppett, though, is defi
nitely out for the Berkmar
game with a slight concus
sion, Johnson said.
“It hurts us a little bit,”
said Johnson. “Berkmar is
an extremely quick team.
Martez does a lot for us, and
if he can’t play it will defi
nitely change our plans.”
For one thing, it would
make sophomore Jeff
Thompson the starter for
the first time on varsity.
Johnson said Thompson does
have a grasp of the Houston
County offense, but natural
ly lacks the experience. The
game plan, he said, would
then center on the plays
Thompson can make.

moving gingerly, though,
and the 15th and final play
of the night was a sack by

Come Monday, Wright was

his usual repetitions with
the Demon offense.
“He’s a little stiff,” said
head coach Bryan Way. “He

The Hornets were set to continue

said the team left George Walton
disappointed in themselves at how
that game went, and he hoped that
