Amber Conlon, who also
hit a home run in Friday’s
game, took the pitcher’s
circle Saturday against
Valdosta. She pitched four
shutout innings before the
Wildcats got to her with
two runs in the top of the
fifth. All that meant was the
Demonettes would get to hit
in the bottom half, which is
when the game ended with a
12-2 Warner Robins victory.

The Wildcats had thee hits
in five innings, but it was
the bases on balls that would
give Conlon problems in the
fifth. She walked three to

Arnett said she was

Conlon worked out of that

with her ninth strikeout.
Katie Farinelli had three

Burroughs and the
Bears trounced the

which is good for a first
place tie with Warner
Robins High. Houston
County is 15-3 overall

against Colquitt County.
Burroughs struck out
seven with no walks in
five innings. The only
Wildcat hit came on a 2-

the top of the fifth.
“Not walking anybody,
that’s always good,” said
coach Cristi Griffin. “The
defense did a good job,
too,”
Valdosta went for a
bunt single in the top of
the third, but
Carriker, at third base,
was on the ball and got it
to Bethany Crenshaw, the
second baseman covering
first, in time.
