WWH vets visit Museum of Aviation

Oct. 13 a group of World
War II veterans from a num
ber of “Signal Air Warning
Battalions” visited the
'Museum of Aviation and
Robins Air Force Base.
These units set up radar
in deployed locations such as
Normandy on D-Day and are
distant relatives of today’s
sth Combat Communications
Group at Robins AFB.
The visits were part of
the 2006 WWII Veterans
SAWBUCK Reunion.
One of the tour guides was
current JSTAR member Lt.
Aaron Pulcifer of the 12th
ACS.
Attendees included the
veterans, their wives and
the family of Corp. Walter
Bryson Hilda Bryson,
widow; Walter Bryson Jr,
son and wife Renza; Ted
Denson, son; Wanda Powell,
daughter and husband
Joe; Wendy Rowe, daugh
ter and husband Michael;

“Ail fees are being waived
for seniors 55-and-over who
want to learn federal and
state income tax prepara
tion,” said Lorane Walker,
of Atlanta, Training Center
for Jackson Hewitt offices
in and around the Atlanta
Metropolitan area. “We’re
calling it our scholarship
program for seniors, and
it’s the same course that
thousands are paying to
take all across the country
to get ready for the 2006
tax season,” she said.
Walker said the seniors
do not have to worry about
owning a computer or hav
ing financial experience.
The six-week course teach

take the course, including
regular students, gain basic
tax knowledge and learn to
prepare a tax return. It’s
a self-paced, comfortable
educational environment,
Walker said.
“The seniors who com
plete the class will have
the same opportunity as
the other participants for
part-time employment with
Jackson Hewitt during the
tax season,” she said. “It’s
a great way for our suc
cessful students to meet
new people and earn extra
income.”

the computerized train
ing, creating an interac
tive learning atmosphere.
The area’s Jackson Hewitt
tax schools offer a flexi
ble schedule, with day and
evening classes available.
Classes generally meet
twice a week for three and
a half hours.

those filing their own taxes,
