the AAAAA playoffs.
Warner Robins will travel
to Camden County Friday
for a 7:30 p.m. game.
Clark’s first field goal of
the night set a new Demon
distance record of 50 yards.
“I didn’t know they were
really going to go for it,”
Clark said. “I thought we
were going to do a fake. I
asked my holder if we were
really going to kick it.”
His kick broke Jason Sikes’
13-year record. He kicked a
49-yard in a game against
Taylor County in 1993.
Clark’s first field goal of
the night tied the existing
record of 12 field goals in a
season held by three other
kickers.
His second kick, a 37-yard
three-pointer with less than
five minutes left in the half
broke that record and gave

Rough outing
spoils Walker's
run at Senior's
Special to the Journal
From first to ... well,
considerably down the
ladder.
Aubrey Walker of Perry,
paired with Jerry Davis
of Tifton, led the third
flight following the first
day of play Wednesday
at the Georgia Senior
Four-Ball Championship
held at Lakes at Laura
S. Walker in Waycross
and Okefenokee Country
Club in Blackshear then
through Friday.
The duo carded a 74 and
held a two-stroke lead.
The second day, however,
they shot an 86 - only one
group of the 12 teams in
contention shot worse (by
a stroke). Subsequently
they fell all the way to
eighth.
A 79 Friday still didn’t
help at that point as they
finished ninth overall,
eight strokes back.
Houston County’s other
contenders at the tourna
ment were Ron Baggett
and Eddie Wiggins of
Warner Robins.
They competed in the
top flight, the champion
ship flight, and shot a 72
the first day, a 73 the
second and 71 the third to
finish even.
They also finished 35th
overall.
Taylor Adams of St.
Simons Island and
Lawrenceville’s Karl
Simon carded a birdie on
