Football reviews: After knock
ing off one top contender in the
state tournament playoffs, Warner
Robins now has to duplicate that
success against another, even
bigger one. The Demons will
travel and play Norcross today, a
team ranked No. 19 in the nation.
For Houston County, it in its
history, has qualified once before
for the semifinals. That was before
those games were played in the
Georgia Dome. The Bears would
like to play in the state's premier
site but to do that, they have to
knock off Roswell, a team with two
state championships in its history.

Since the age of 3, West has called Perry his home and business is steady.
In an age where there are frosts and nail care, style and glamour in every hair establishment,
West represents the simple haircut.

Hospitals add

From staff reports
Houston Medical Center
and Perry Hospital gener
ated more than $292.1 mil
lion in revenue during 2004
for the local economy.
According to a recent
report by the Georgia
Hospital Association,
Houston Healthcare had
direct expenditures of more
than $118.6 million in 2004.
When combined with an eco
nomic multiplier developed
by the U.S. Department
of Commerce’s Bureau of
Economic Analysis, the total
economic impact of those
expenditures was more than
$292.1 million.
This output multiplier
considers the “ripple” effect
of direct hospital expendi
tures on other sectors of the
economy, such as medical
supplies, durable medical
equipment and pharmaceu
ticals. Economic multipliers
are used to model the result

one industry on the “circu

an economy as a whole.
