Nov. 17-18, the Future
Business Leaders of America
Chapter at Perry High
School attended their Fall
Leadership Conference in
Athens in conjunction with
more than 2,600 members
and advisers for, according

Perry Primary were,

delighted to hear a group
of children from the
Children of the World
International Children's
Choir recently. The choir
is made up of 15 children
from numerous different
countries. The children
are performing across
the United States and
made a stop in
Perry. They were making
their way to New York for
the Christmas holidays.

The Houston County High School DECA Chapter (pictured) recently attended “DECA
Night with the Hawks” in Atlanta. During that time, the students spent time touring
the CNN Center, attended a college fair and then listened to many marketing and busi
ness executives from the Atlanta Hawk’s organization speak about careers in the field
of sports marketing. That evening the students attended the Atlanta Hawks basket
ball game along with other DECA students from across the state. The students were
accompanied on their trip by their marketing teacher Tiffany Flournoy.

Business Leaders of
America attended the
FBLA Fall Leadership
Conference in Athens,
where three officers par
ticipated in the Invention
Convention. The team
placed third out of
80 teams across the
state and will advance
to the 2007 GA FBLA
State Conference. In
this event each team
received certain supplies
and was given one hour
to design an item using
the supplies provided
and to market the item
using a poster board
provided.
