Veterans win with raffle
I <uhtnpr
Mayor Donald Walker and members of Vietnam veterans of American Chapter 902
compile last minute tickets prior to a drawing Monday at the City Council meeting.
Walker and Larry Snellgrove made last-minute ticket purchases of 100 and 101 tick
ets respectively, in the drawing for a print surrounded by the Vietnam service pin for
each of the 50 states. Walker drew the winning single ticket for a Mexican restaurant.
Chapter President Brian Schmidt said “since it’s a restaurant I hope the picture will be
on display for everyone to see.”
