Democratic Women’s
Club to meet
The Middle Georgia Democratic
Women's Club will hold its regular
monthly meeting Saturday.
The meeting begins at 9 a.m.,
but, according to a release,
“please come earlier in order to
have a nice breakfast of pastries,
coffee and fruit."
The cost of breakfast is $5.
The meeting will be held at Chef
Audrey's Bistro on Margie Drive in
Warner Robins.

Robins FD to hold MS
golf tournament
The Robins Fire Department
will be hosting a golf tournament
to raise money for the Muscular
Dystrophy Association. It will be
held June 8 at Waterford Golf
Course.
There will be scramble teams
with an entry fee of S2OO/team
(SSO/player). It will include lunch at
11:30 and a shotgun start at 1 p.m.
There will be a putting challenge
contest, a raffle for prizes and a
three day/two night Savannah trip
for the first place team. Anyone
interested in playing can contact
the fire department at 765-1020.

WRPD names Clifton
Officer of the Year

The Warner Robins Police
Officer of the Year is Craig
Clifton.
Clifton, of the Patrol
Division has 11 years with
the department and was
selected by his peers for
the honor. Chief Bret Evans
noted all the officers who
chose to be at the ceremony.
“They all chose to be here
to support the person cho
sen as officer of the year,” he
said. “They know the process
was not an easy one, but this
time one stood out.”
