ficed Clark to third, and he
scored on a wild pitch to give
Bradenton a brief 2-1 lead in
the top of the fourth.
Bradenton’s lead lasted
only long enough for Macon
to come to bat in their half
of the fourth frame.
Felipe Del Rosario walked,
stole second and raced to
third on the overthrow at

Morgan walked Ismael

run (9-2). Sam Kinnas drew
a walk, then Taylor singled
off the third baseman’s glove
for an RBI (9-3).
Perry found they didn’t
need to hit the ball too hard
to keep the rally going as
Sullivan deYampert - six RBI
to his credit on Wednesday
- added a seventh for the
series with a dribbler to
the left side of the pitcher’s
mound (9-4).
Troup reliever Andrew
Butts, not a hard thrower
at all as the Panthers saw
twice Wednesday, tried to
stop the visitors again, but
Jones greeted him this time
with a two-run single to left
(9-6).
The next two runs scored
via Tiger errors, and with
a Matt Phillips single up
the middle, Troup turned
back to Beistline, a sign
ee with Jacksonville State.
He couldn’t hold the lead,
though, giving up a tying
infield hit to Calhoun.
Only then did Troup see
the second and third outs of
the fifth.
But before Perry could get
from the first out to the sec
ond out of the bottom half,
the Tigers roared back in
command at 15-9.
Chris Duncan, No. 1 in the
batting order, singled and
went to third on a Jackson
sacrifice where Taylor got
the throw off to third in
time despite getting tangled
with Jones fielding the ball.
Beistline had the RBI on
a sharp grounder, but also
reached on an error.
The next hits by Dukes
and Bailey aren’t hard to
describe as each took a dif
ferent Perry pitcher deep
for a 13-9 lead. When Perry
had its third pitcher going,
the Troup lead grew to 15-
9, then Duncan turned his
second at-bat of the frame
into his second hit for an
RBI (16-9).
Taylor was on the mound
with the score 17-9. Beistline
drove in the last run with an
extra-base hit before Taylor

Jason Maxey’s sacri

Bradenton’s Morgan, but his
throw bounced into the dirt

couldn’t score from third on
the error.
That was all for Morgan
