Wanner Robins man named ’O7
Government Engineer of the Year

Richard (Ric) L. Powers,
the Area Engineer for the US
Army Corps of Engineers,
Savannah District’s Robins
Air Force Base Area Office
was named the 2007
Engineer of the Year in
Government by the Georgia
Society of Professional
Engineers (GSPE). Powers
accepted the award Friday
at the GSPE’s annual meet
ing in Pine Mountain.
Powers was recognized for
his outstanding engineering
work, support of the engi
neering profession, and com
munity involvement during
the past five years.
“I consider it a great honor
to be recognized for such
a prestigious award,” said
Powers.
As the area engineer for
Robins Area Office, Powers is
responsible for the construc
tion, management, contract
administration, and over
sight of military construe-*
tion at Robins and Moody
AFBs, Forts McPherson and
Gillem, and Dobbins Air
Reserve Base.
Powers, a 1974 graduate
of Rose-Hulman Institute of
Kinnas accepts limited partnership

advisor for Edward Jones in
Perry, has accepted a limited
partnership offering in The
Jones Financial Cos., the
holding company for the St.
Louis-based financial servic
es firm.
Kinnas, a native of Macon
who has lived for years in
Perry, joined Edward Jones
in 2000 and has served
investors in Perry for the
past six years. In addition,
he is active in the Perry
Chamber of Commerce, the
Perry Rotary Club and the
Perry Presbyterian Church.
He and his wife, Mary Ann,
have a daughter and two
sons.
