system is operating, the
signals will change more or
less frequently depending
on the amount of traffic on
Perimeter Road.
He also said that under
state law, there will be a
flashing light for seven days
at the intersection before the
red, green and yellow lights
are put into operation; This
is to give motorists ample
notice of the change.
“I will still predict that
there’ll be an accident
there,” Stalnaker said, not
ing that some who are used
to going straight ahead on
U.S. 41 might fail to notice

Monday about 4:30 a.m.,
when Deputy Tim Jenkins
was on routine patrol con

Church located on South
Highway 41 in Perry and
found Counts inside the
church.
“We wouldn’t have what
we have without him,”
Williams said of Jenkins.
Counts reportedly made
forced entry at each location,
throwing a large piece of con

also reportedly forced a door
at Hamby, broke windows at
the gas station under con
struction and at Westfield.
Williams said Counts had

a red light. He urged all

He also said that the
Georgia Department of

Motorist can expect
some delays as the remain

begin to see a flashing yel
low light facing U.S. 41 and
a flashing red light facing
Perimeter Road, they can
expect the completed system
in a week’s time, and should
be prepared to come to stop
on U.S. 41 when indicated.
