The Perry Akikta Club
held its annual luncheon
and installation of offi
cers at Pineola Farms,
Fort Valley recently. Beth
Baker was welcomed as
the club’s newest member.
Last year’s president, Kay
Rowell, installed officers,
using a birdhouse theme.
They are President Mariann
Overtcn, Vice-president
Barbi Flournoy, Secretary
Sandra McGowan,
Treasurer Karen Akridge
and Parliamentarian
Gwen Moore. Members
exchanged “secret pal”
gifts. Hostesses for the
occasion were Rachel
wooden, Sandra Sessoms,
Gwen Moore, Linda Alford
and Mable McKinley.

The Middle Georgia Democratic Women’s Club will host its third annual International
Tasting Party Aug. 18 at 7 p.m. at the Warner Robins Recreation Center on Watson
Blvd. Tickets are sls. Guests can sample dishes from all over the globe. Door prizes,
