Oxendine says 36,000 consumers
already helped so far in 2007

In the first six months
of 2007, Insurance
Commissioner John
Oxendine’s Consumer
Services and Managed Care
Divisions, according to a
release, had helped 36,272
Georgia consumers settle
disputes with their insur
ance companies, returning .
$10,057,093 in insurance
claims to these consumers -
- money they might not have
received without his help.

citizens and businesses,”

Administration announced
this week that federal disas
ter loans are available to
small businesses and small
agricultural cooperatives
located in all Georgia coun
ties except Chattahoochee
and Muscogee counties as a
result of damages and losses
to crops caused by drought
that occurred Jan. 1 and
continuing.
