Woman's story fails to check out
Leads to man’s arrest, charges against her

An investigation that
began Dec. 1, 2007, ended
in the arrest of a Warner
Robins man Tuesday.
Charles Marcus Billue,
36, according to a release
was apprehended in Laurens
County and charged with
robbery and criminal damage
to property. According to the
release, he is being held in
Houston County Detention
Center with more charges
expected. Also, Crystal
Ortega, 28, who was/is also
associated with the case was
charged with false state
ments and is free on board.
The circumstances behind
their investigation is as fol
lows: On Dec. 1, 2007, at
1:09 p.m. deputies responded
to a robbery at the area near
the pond of the Moose Lodge
located at 417 Nelson Drive
in Warner Robins.
The victim was supposed
ly Ortega. According to the
release, she, an employee of
Dollar General Stores, and
carrying a deposit bag at the
time of the incident, advised
the deputies that a black
male had forced his way into
her car on Clinton St. She
stated that the male came to
the driver side window and
demanded the money. She
said that her driver’s window
was broken. She gave the
male the bag and they depart

but that she had a friend
named Chris (later identified
as Billue) who she met on
the way to make the deposit.
She said she remained in her
vehicle and Billue walked to
the driver’s side window. She
