Plans under way
for Miss Perry HS

The 2008 Miss Perry High
School pageant will be held
Thursday at 7:30 p.m. in the
Perry High School Theater
for Performing Arts. The
Miss Perry High School pag
eant is a scholarship pageant
and there are 22 girls vying
for the title of Miss Freshman
2008, Miss Sophomore 2008,
Miss Junior 2008 and Miss
Perry High School 2008.
Winners will also be named
in Interview, Talent and
Miss Congeniality. The Miss
Perry High School is spon
sored by the Perry High
School Drama Department.
Admission will be $5 and
tickets can be purchased at

Pediatric Services at Houston Medical Center provides
inpatient care for newborns to young adults. Children
receive care in a child frigidly environment surrounded
by pediatric experts. Pediatric Services includes a new
eight-bed pediatric unit and a medical staff of pediatricians
all certified by the American Board of Pediatrics. Pediatric
Services is located on the second floor of the main hospital.

tute fried or scalloped potatoes
with a baked potato or even rice
and ask for your vegetables to
be steamed and not fried and
you have a delicious and much
healthier meal in front of you.
• Mexican: Few menus offer
more delicious foods than those
at Mexican restaurants. Fortu
nately, those menus typically
offer healthy choices you might
not be aware of. Initially, before
sitting down, request that no
fried tortilla chips be brought to
the table. Most Mexixan restau
rants offer large entrees to be
gin with, so you won’t be going
hungry anyway. For your main
course, ask to replace flour tor
tillas with com tortillas, and

egg rolls are not very healthy.
