If a tree falls in the woods
does it make a sound?
How about if it falls in
the area just off Highway 41
near Gunn Road? Oh yeah.
Not only that, but the
fact trees are going to fall
in that area beginning next
week and continuing for
the next three, maybe four
weeks after, will make it a
dangerous area, said Steve
Acuff of Peach Blossom
Development Company in
Warner Robins.
His company will be the
ones bringing down and
removing the trees as part of
a DOT project in that area.
“It’s going to make it
where sometimes it may be
down to one lane,” he said,
adding it would affect both
the accel and deceleration
lanes. “Sometimes the road
may be closed.”
His best advice is to avoid
the area. As a minimum,
he said, people - travelling
north to south, anyway - can
turn right at the four-way
stop at Gunn Road and still
make it to the interstate, or
turn left and head toward
the mall.

Soldiers recognize strength in
numbers.
So it was perhaps' no coincidence
they showed up in force for the
naming of Frontage Road.
To their relief, it will be named as
they have requested on more than
one occasion, Vietnam Veterans
Memorial Highway.
