could have been prevented
at so many levels.”
He was referring to the
events of the early morn
ing of Oct. 9 when Donald
Paul Brock was killed while
driving impaired.
As a result of that, the
Warner Robins Police
Department, along with
Houston County District
Attorney Kelly Burke,
held a press conference
Tuesday to announce that
nearly a dozen people had
been indicted for various
offenses related to Brock’s
death.
“It is clearly meant to
send message to the com
munity,” Burke said, “that
providing alcohol to under
age people can have seri
ous repercussions. I doubt
anyone will think it’s too
much of a stretch that sell
ing to underage people,

Store, Nealkanth Patel,
the owner of the liquor
store, Katherine Huff,
Bradley Kimball, Linda

and Brian Tibbs were all
charged with: Vehicular
homicide (by causing his
death through the DUI),
driving under the influence
(by permitting Brock to
consume alcohol and per
mitting him to drive) and
permitting another to vio
late state law (for allowing
Brock to violate the state’s
DUI law).
In addition, Tibbs, who
was the passenger in the
vehicle, was also charged
with DUI himself. (Burke
said he admitted at one
point to driving the car,
also.)
